ACC Banner Machines
University Computing Support has received limited funding this year to purchase computers for Banner users through the Academic Computing Client (ACC) machine distribution program. We are pleased to announce that this year we will offer both desktop and notebook models. We are offering the following computers:
Desktops
- Dell Optiplex 780
- Apple iMac
Notebooks
- 14" Dell Latitude E5500
- 13" Apple MacBook
NOTE: Notebooks do not include peripherals such as docking stations, external monitors, keyboards, and mice.
Because the models offered have been negotiated with the vendors to obtain optimal pricing, we are unable to offer alternative configurations. All requests will be evaluated based on the Individual Eligibility Criteria listed below and on the availability of machines. Once a decision is made, you will be notified. Machines will be delivered directly to your department by the vendor early in spring semester 2010.
Individual Eligibility Criteria
- You must be an active Banner user.
- You must not qualify to receive a machine from the Faculty Development Institute program.
- Your department must not be an Auxiliary or part of Extension.
- Your position must not have received a computer from the ACC program or Banner machine distribution program in the past four years.
- The machine you are requesting replacement for must not have been replaced by a new ACC machine within the past four years.
- You must accept these computers on your department's inventory and abide by SCHEV property control requirements.
Requesting an ACC Banner Machine
The survey to request an ACC Banner machine is now open. You will need to specify the service tag or serial number on your current machine when completing the survey in order to determine eligibility. The request period and survey will end on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. The survey can be accessed at:

To log in to the survey, use your PID and PID password. By responding to this survey, you certify that you are an active Banner user.
We are not able to accept spreadsheets for whole departments; please submit each request individually using the survey. We apologize for any inconvenience.
