Asked Questions
In Hokie SPA, you can view your class schedule,
drop classes from and add classes to your schedule, or change the
course options to A-F, Pass/Fail, or Audit. However, these features
are only available at certain times before and after the start of
each semester.

How do I drop or add classes
in Hokie SPA? |
Go to Hokie
SPA (http://hokiespa.vt.edu).
Log on using your PID and password. Click
the Hokie Spa link. Click the Registration & Schedule
link. Click the Drop/Add Classes link.

The class I added does not appear in my schedule. What is wrong? |
Scroll down to the bottom of the page to the red stop sign with the heading "Registration Errors". A brief explanation of the error is in the "Status" column. The most common error message is "MAJOR RESTRICTION", which means the course you want to add is restricted to students in that major.

I just added
or dropped some classes in Hokie SPA, but
when I looked at my Original Class Ticket,
the changes did not show up. What is wrong
and how do I view my current list of classes? |
The Original Class
Ticket is the class ticket that is created
when you first add classes for a term. If
you add or drop classes later, the Original
Class Ticket will not change to reflect your
current list of classes.

How do I drop all of my classes? |
You cannot drop all of your classes in Hokie SPA because this would be considered withdrawing for the semester. For more information about withdrawing, refer to the Resignations/Withdrawals Web page.

How can I view my schedule
in a weekly calendar or other format? |
Log on to Hokie
SPA (http://www.hokiespa.vt.edu/). Click
the Hokie Spa link. Click the Registration & Schedule
link. Select the schedule format you want
to view. Click the Submit button.

How can I view my schedule
as a class ticket? |

How do I change
my grade option from A-F to Pass/Fail? |

Spa link. Click the Registration & Schedule

link. Select the term and click the Submit
button. Click the Change Course Option Page
link.

How do I obtain my original class ticket? |
Log on to Hokie SPA with your PID and password. Click the Registration & Schedule link. Click the Original Class Ticket (Course Request Results) link. Select the term for which you want your class ticket.
