Junk Mail Manager

A new anti-spam measure called Junk Mail Manager (JMM) is currently being used on the VTMail system. JMM is a quarantine system for e-mail.

Mail that is tagged as spam will be held in a quarantine folder instead of being delivered to a user's mailbox. These messages will be accessible to the user in a Web interface. The user will also receive regular reports by e-mail, listing the contents of their quarantine folder. This will keep a large percentage of undesired mail out of users' actual mailboxes.

The Web interface also allows users to configure rules to allow or block particular senders, subjects, or message types.

For complete details on JMM, see the VT Junk Mail Manager Web site.
