Class E-mail Lists

Class Lists are ideal for professors and instructors to communicate and distribute information to all their students in a specific class. You may e-mail important class updates or answer questions that come up during class time, for example. This also allows a student to e-mail the LISTSERV with a question and for other students to answer the question.

Setting Up Your Class List

Only the faculty of record for a class is able to request a class LISTSERV list. Teaching Assistants (TAs) are not allowed to request a class list. Class lists are requested through Faculty Access in Hokie SPA (http://www.computing.vt.edu/classes_and_courseware/hokie_spa/). For instructions, see Creating a Class LISTSERV List in Faculty Access (http://www.answers.vt.edu/ask4help/email/vtkb1308.htm).
