DNS Addresses
DNS (Domain Name Server) addresses are for the campus servers
that translate the Virginia Tech domain names that your computer
uses
and converts them to IP addresses so that you can connect
to the Internet.
Configuring Your Ethernet Connection:
To determine the address for the DNS server you should use, pick the two addresses you think are closest to you, based on the building. Hosts configured with DHCP get resolver configuration from the DHCP server.
